Diego Corriente, the internationally acclaimed classic flamenco guitarist, is considered to be one of the most talented and entertaining in his field. He is renowned through his lectures, recordings and extensive concertizing. This brilliant artist began his study of the guitar at the age of nine, and five years later, in 1965, made his debut performance as a soloist, appearing with Alexander Bellow, the noted Russian classical guitarist and author of the book 'The Illustrated Guitar'.
From 1971 - 1980 he did 13 consecutive tours with numerous Spanish dance companies performing with many artists from both the United States and Spain. And in the time spanning from then to now, he has been around the world four times and appeared in 52 foreign countries as a soloist. In recent years, he has established himself as an outstanding soloist and has performed not only flamenco but a vast repertoire of songs that run from the greatest classics to the best of American popular favorites.
